Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented QC Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in the cooling tower or heavy fabrication industry. The role involves ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process fabrication, and final assembled cooling towers meet company and customer quality standards, codes, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and verify incoming raw materials and bought-out components (FRP, timber, RCC, fans, motors, gearboxes, fills, drift eliminators, etc.) against specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections during fabrication, assembly, and erection stages.
• Carry out final inspection of cooling towers before dispatch and ensure compliance with drawings, quality plans, and client requirements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection test plans (ITPs), quality checklists, NCR reports, and other QC documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to ISO / CTI / ASME / IS standards relevant to cooling towers.
• Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for defects.
• Conduct stage-wise quality audits and participate in client / third-party inspections.
• Support continuous improvement and help develop standard QC procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of QC experience in cooling towers / fabrication / process equipment industry.
• Knowledge of inspection methods, measuring instruments, and material testing.
• Familiarity with FRP, RCC, and metal fabrication processes.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in preparing reports, NCRs, and inspection records.
• Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
